Charles M. Callaghan, Jr., 73, of Saybrook Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1942 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Iverna L. (Otto) Callaghan-McDougall and Charles M. Callaghan. Charles graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1961 and served his country honorably in the United States Navy, retiring in 1983 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0103, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Army & Navy Union Garrison #411. Mr. Callaghan is survived by his two sons, Dana Joseph Callaghan and Paul Michael (Doreen) Callaghan; and two grandchildren, William and Emily Callaghan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dolores Marie Mullins. Graveside services will be held, Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Edgewood Cemetery, where military honors will be performed by American Legion Post #0103.
