Phyllis A. Baker, 72, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Lake Pointe Nursing Home. She was born on July 2, 1944 in Chapmanville, West Virginia the daughter of Vanzal and Opal (Johnson) Bentley. Phyllis enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Law & Order SVU, Jeopardy, Lifetime Movies and the Ohio Lottery Show. She loved reading her bible and playing bingo. She is survived by her children, Angela DeJesus, Mark Baker and Kimberly Baker; brother, Marvin Bentley; grandchildren, Mitchell Baker, Andrew Baker, Anna Maria DeJesus, Juan DeJesus, Michael Johnson, Preston Johnson, Amanda Baker, Amber Baker, Alesha Baker, Ashley Baker, Kylie Baker, Elyjah DeJesus, Daniel Davis, Christian Davis, Braylin Maldanado. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Baker; and siblings, Brenda Bentley, Harold Bentley, Janice Christoff, Madeline Bentley-Heiskanen, James "Jim" Bentley and Paul Bentley. Funeral services were held Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12 Noon at the THOMPSON SMITH NESBITT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 345 MAIN ST., CONNEAUT WITH REV. KENNETH ROBERTS, OFFICIATING. Memorials in her memory may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
