Susanne Marie "Sue" Coxon Obituary

Type Obit Here Kingsville Township- Susanne "Sue" Marie Coxon, 81, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, January 31, 2025, at UH-Conneaut after a brief illness.

She was born on June 8, 1943, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of John I. and Edna J. (Shrum) Harr. Sue was a 1961 graduate of St. John High School. It was not long after, she pursued the love of her life, Ronald C. Coxon, often watching for his yellow 1953 Chevy truck at the gas station across from her home, and they married on June 9, 1962, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Sue was a devoted and faithful member of St. Andrew Bobola Catholic Church.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, which she dearly cherished. In addition, over the years she worked for Dean Wible Oldsmobile, American Finance Loan Company, the Ohio Unemployment office, the Star Beacon and the former Ashtabula County School Employee's Credit Union. Along with her husband Ron, during the 1960's, they owned and operated several rental cottages named Park Central in Geneva-On-The-Lake.

Sue's family will remember her as trendy, classy, sophisticated, and best dressed. She embraced technology and enjoyed her iPad. Sue loved making flower arrangements and creating beautiful wreaths. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved having the grandchildren over to make jellies and creating special memories with them. Sue loved the Amish, befriending many, including her new friend Mattie, as well as enjoying many special trips to Holmes County to embrace their way of life.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 62 years, Ronald C. Coxon; children, Bonnie (Alan) Applebee, Jeffrey Coxon, and Christopher (Heather) Coxon; grandchildren, Joseph, Caroline, Sean, Sarah, and Cathleen; great-grandchildren, Chase and Chloe; her only remaining sister, Catherine Ann Gaynor; and her beloved dachshund, Frankie.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Harr; infant daughter, Sheila Marie; siblings, Mary Edna Marta, Martha L. Miller and J. Warren Harr; and a granddaughter, Cassie Marie.
