Doris M. Oroszy, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 9, 2025, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 22, 1935, in Girard, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Clifford and Jenny (Vorse) Mealy. On October 27, 1951, Doris married the love of her life, Julius H. Oroszy, and together they shared a devoted marriage until his passing in 2003.

A woman of deep faith, Doris was a longtime and faithful member of the Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years, where she lovingly served as a Sunday School teacher and led children's church with great care and dedication. She was passionate about nurturing young hearts and minds in faith.

Doris also enjoyed her years as an Avon representative, treasuring the friendships she built while visiting with her many wonderful customers. In her quiet moments, she could often be found reading, crocheting, doing embroidery, or adding to her cherished doll collection. Each year she looked forward to canning and spending time on the family farm, supporting her husband in every way.

She is survived by her children, Christy Wiita, Sharon (Edward) Jarmolowicz and Nancy (Thomas) Frazier; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Rich) Griggs, Donnie (Dee) Hall, Bradley (Brittany) Miller, Peter (Sara) Hall, Tim (Cassie) Hall, and Clifford Jarmolowicz; and her sister, Shirley Roscinski.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, James Finnegan; parents Jenny and Clifford Mealy; husband, Julius Oroszy; her stepfather, Clifford Mealy, whom she cherished and was loving referred to by him as, "Tootie"; her beloved daughters, Darlene Oroszy and Susan Hall; her brother, James Finnegan; her granddaughter, Jenny Rose and great-granddaughter, Everliegh both whom passed away in infancy.

Doris will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and quiet strength — a mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence touched so many.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Doris' life will be held, 5PM to 7PM, Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. No formal services will be observed. A private burial was held at Kelloggsville Cemetery.
