Terance Andrew "Terry" Regan, 68, of Houston, Texas, passed away on February
26, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 12,
1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Terry eventually made Houston his home,
where he built a legacy both in business and in the hearts of those who knew
him.
Terry began his career as a talented sign painter at a time when artistry was still
done by hand. As technology advanced, he seamlessly adapted, buying an
electronic vinyl cutter and later earning his Master Sign Electricians license.
From his earliest days, Terry owned and operated his own business, employing
many as contractors and leaving an indelible mark on the local sign industry. His
dedication and work ethic were legendary—so much so that in his first year of
marriage, he was hand-painting an airplane on Christmas Eve. For Terry, work
was not just a job; it was a calling. Building his business into a thriving venture
was one of his proudest achievements.
Though known for being a bit of a grouch—especially when work brought on
stress—Terry's wit and subtle humor often brightened the room. Quiet and
reserved but fiercely intelligent, he was generous to a fault, often insisting on
paying for group meals and helping those around him in practical, hands-on
ways. While his business was his true passion and often left little time for
hobbies, Terry found joy in rare fishing trips and traveling for business.
Terry's proudest moments came with the births of his daughters, Kelly Rodriguez
and Teresa Regan, who, along with his wife Suzanne Regan, survive him. He is
also survived by his sisters Jackie Matthews and Elizabeth Belk. He was
predeceased by his sister Jerri Ellen Escoffier.
A graveside ceremony was held July 25, 2025, at Glenwood Cemetery in
Conneaut, Ohio. If Terry could return for even one more day, his family would tell
him that their world will never be the same without him. He was deeply loved,
steadfast, and truly irreplaceable—their rock
