Glenn Hugo Kobernik, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Lake Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on April 23, 1939, in Conneaut, Ohio, Glenn was the son of the late Glenn and Margaret (Clark) Kobernik, Sr. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Rowe High School with the Class of 1957. Two years later, on February 13, 1959, he married the love of his life, Agnes Lewis, beginning a marriage that would span 66 years filled with devotion and laughter.
Glenn was always a hardworking man, his first job was with the Conneaut Creamery as a milk man. His skills as a journeyman machinist, welder and in maintenance mechanic led his career to GE, Cleveland Dock Co., Conneaut Can Company, the Astatic, and finally SCM (now INEOS), where he retired. Beyond his work, Glenn was happiest outdoors—cutting the grass on his John Deere, fishing, feeding the birds, or simply admiring the horses. Known as a jack of all trades, he could fix anything and loved tackling home remodels and woodworking projects. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family, who will forever remember his steady presence, warm smile, and generous heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Agnes; children, Glenn (Tammy) Kobernik, III, Marcia (Wilfredo DeJesus) Kobernik, and Michelle (Henry) Scott; grandchildren, Russell Scott Kobernik, Felicia Kobernik, Christopher (Chris Pizarro) Scott, and Kyle (Jennifer Glenn) Scott; and Glenn's favorite nephew Eddie (Cindy) McEndree.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Janet McEndree.
Private family services will be held, and Glenn will be laid to rest at Kelloggsville Cemetery in Monroe Township.
Arrangements are entrusted to Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Conneaut. Online obituary and condolences may be shared at www.thompsonsmithnesbitt.com.
