Robert Reger, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026. He rejoins his beloved wife, Patricia (Weaver) Reger, who preceded him in death on March 13, 2022.

Robert was born in Madison, Ohio, on December 8, 1934, the son of Straley and Maude (Childs) Reger. He graduated from Kingsville High School in 1952 and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 until his retirement in 1977. Robert was a man of Christian faith who lived his beliefs quietly and sincerely throughout his life. He enjoyed swimming, reading, and following sports, especially football, baseball, and hockey. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Rice University athletics.

Patricia was born in Conneaut, Ohio, on August 28, 1938, the daughter of George and Eunice (Johnson) Weaver. She was also a woman of Christian faith and shared many of the same values and interests as her husband. Patricia especially enjoyed sewing, golfing, working puzzles and crossword puzzles, and taking walks.

Together, Robert and Patricia built a life centered on faith, family, and life's simple joys. They shared many years of love, companionship, and devotion to one another.

They were preceded in death by their parents; a son, Robert Kevin Reger, in 2014; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Reger Baker, in 2021.

Their memories will be lovingly cherished by their grandchildren, Cecilia Reger, Laura (Justin) Dishman, Elizabeth Baker, Timothy (Margarett) Gorham, and Allen Baker; great-grandchildren, Waylon and Hunter Dishman, and Adalynn and Barbara Gorham; as well as many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss them.

"Though they are gone from this earthly life, their love, faith, and devotion to family will remain a lasting legacy."

Family services were held in Texas, and they are laid to rest together at Kelloggsville Cemetery.
