Conneaut- Kimberly R. Shepard, 49, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

She was born on August 24, 1976, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Richard Shepard, Jr. and Linda Kreiling. Kim was a graduate of Conneaut High School, Class of 1994.

Kim was a loving mother who cherished raising her two daughters. Some of her happiest times were spent outdoors with them, especially riding four-wheelers and simply enjoying time together.

Kim had a caring and generous spirit. She loved helping others and rarely asked for anything in return. Her compassion extended to animals as well, which always held a special place in her heart.

In recent years, Kim faced personal struggles that made life difficult at times, but those challenges never erased the caring, generous person her family and friends knew and loved. She had a compassionate heart, especially for those who were struggling, and was always willing to lend a hand without expecting anything in return.

Kim will be remembered for her love for her daughters, her kindness toward others, her compassion for animals, and the generous heart she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her children, Marissa (Matt) Gilligan and Kayla (Christopher Briceno) Malone; her grandchildren, Kayden, Bryson and Mason; and her siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held, Satruday, August 15, 2026 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.

In keeping with Kim’s caring and generous spirit, her family asks that those wishing to honor her memory consider helping someone in need. Canned goods and other nonperishable food items may be brought to the funeral home and will be donated to local food pantries. Friends are also encouraged to stock a local Blessing Box in Kim’s memory or make a contribution to a charitable organization that serves those in need, such as a local food pantry, mental health organization, or women’s shelter.
