Obituary of Thelma Narducci

Kingsville- Thelma Narducci, 95, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. She was born March 27, 1920 in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late, Carl M. and Eunice (Orford) Hewitt. Mrs. Narducci worked at the Astatic Corporation and also at General Electric in Conneaut, and provided over 40 years of service to the companies. Thelma loved to shop; especially for food. She enjoyed cooking and was always looking for a new dish to create for her family and friends to enjoy. Thelma enjoyed reading books and cook books, but most of all she enjoyed the time she got to spend with her friends and family. Mrs. Narducci is survived by her son, Carl Gary Wood of Conneaut; sister, Audrey Sharp of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brenda (Ed) Jaworski of Erie, PA, Shelly (Robert) Runyeon of Arlington, TX, and Pam (Jeff Stanonik) Nyman of Conneaut; great-grandchildren, Jamie Jaworski, Cory and Casey Runyeon, Scott (Yatra) and Haylee (Matt Jatsko) Nyman, and Chelsea Chapman; as well as three great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Devere Wood, who was killed in action serving our country in the Navy during WWII; her second husband, Nicholas A. Narducci, in 2004; daughters, Joyce Schreiber; son, Larry Wood in infancy; sisters, Doris Witter and Alice Tuttle; and her parents. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in N. Kingsville. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11 am until the time of service at 1PM at the funeral home.
