Obituary of Matthew L. Wofford

Matthew L. Wofford, 36, longtime resident of Conneaut, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was born on December 8, 1978 in Ashtabula to Morris E. Wofford, Sr., and Nancy L. Wofford. Matthew graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1997. Matthew enjoyed sports, especially football, and played for his Alma Mater. He attended many high school football games. Matthew enjoyed watching college and professional football games and attended Brown's games, when he could. He loved getting together with family and friends and spending time with them. Matthew is survived by his brother, Morris E. (Mary Wedyke) Wofford, Jr.; sister, Cynthia Williams; nieces, Diamond Robinson and Amber and Crystal Williams; paternal grandmother, Ida M. Wofford; and the extended Wofford Family and many friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Robert and Sally Downes; and paternal grandfather, Wilbert L. Wofford, Sr. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the FIRST AZUSA APOSTOLIC FAITH CHURCH OF GOD, 312 Jefferson St., Conneaut (Corner of Jefferson and Buffalo Sts.) Friends and family will be received at the CHURCH on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, in care of the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available.
