Obituary of Richard Joseph Hannold

Richard Joseph "Joe" Hannold, 59, of Pierpont, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 11, 2016, at UPMC- Hamot Medical Center. He was born May 21, 1956, in Conneaut, the son of the late Richard Rolland and Alice "Roberta" (Fisher) Hannold and had been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1975. Joe worked as a mechanic for Bortnick Farms in Conneautville, PA to his passing. Joe also worked at Transplastics in Conneaut, Ohio for many years. He also was the owner operator of J & M Mobile Unit Repair in Conneaut. Joe spent his spare time working on various machinery, trucks, cars, and heavy equipment with his faithful dogs never leaving his side. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Joe offered his talent of outdoor grilling on several occasions for non-profit organizations and local benefits throughout the years. He was also an accomplished, trophy winning skeet shooter. Joe is survived by his children, Cathy (Scott) Mackert of New York, and Richard (Angel) Hannold II, of Kingsville; his companion, Roberta Coy of Conneautville, PA; siblings, Albert (Pat) Hannold of North Carolina, Jennifer (Edward) Krenisky of Monroe, Suzeann (Fred) Moore of Pierpont, and Ed (Phyllis) Hannold of Pierpont; grandchildren, Luke Jones of New York, and Destiny Hannold of Kingsville; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Roberta Hannold; and a nephew Scott Moore. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 5:00 P.M., at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Pastor Time Kraus of the Conneaut Church of Christ officiating. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 P.M. until the time of service at 5 PM.
