Missionary Gloria Marie Hunt of 704 Clark Street, Conneaut, OH departed this life on Thursday September 1, 2016 in Cincinnati, OH. The second oldest of twelve, Gloria was born on June 17, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to Ida (Rush) Wofford and Wilbert Wofford. She moved to Conneaut, OH in 1952 at the age of 8. She graduated from Conneaut High School in 1967. She married her life-long companion Gordon G. Hunt on September 22 1973. Through this holy union 4 children were born, 3 boys and 1 girl. Missionary Gloria Hunt was a faithful servant to the Lord and to the Apostolic Faith Church of God (First Azusa AFCOG). She served as the Assistant Pastor’s wife from 1996-2007. In September 2007 she became the First Lady of First Azusa AFCOG until January 2008. She also served as First Azusa AFCOG Financial and Church Secretary, Northern District Secretary, and Missionary President. She was employed at Farmers (Key) bank of Conneaut, OH and Union Bank in Erie, PA from 1967-1974. General Electric from 1974 until her retirement in 2008. Most important to her was her family. Gloria was highly respected by many and was often called upon to provide counseling. Day or night she made herself available to anyone needing a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. Gloria will be especially remembered for her selfless caring personality. She never hesitated, to help anyone in need. She has touched many lives through her nurturing and dedication to making, gifting and teaching crafts. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. Missionary Gloria M. Hunt was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon G. Hunt, father Wilbert L. Wofford, brothers Morris E. Wofford and Johnny P. Wofford. On September 1, 2016, God welcome Gloria into His presence. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Tyrone G. Hunt (Dako) of Lorton, VA. Daniel A. Hunt of Cincinnati, OH, Phillip N. Hunt (Monica) of Fremont, OH and one daughter Stephanie C. (Hunt) Nelson (Jermain) of Cincinnati, Oh. One grandson Christian G. Hunt of Lorton, VA. Four grand-daughters Brooklynn and C’aire Nelson of Cincinnati, OH and Jazmine and Tyler Hunt of Lorton, VA. She is also survived by three brothers Wilbert Wofford Jr (Ivory) of Ashtabula, OH, Michael Wofford (Debra) of Ashtabula, OH, Calvin Wofford of Conneaut, OH and six sisters Maryann Henton of Ashtabula, OH, Marie Wofford of Italy, Cheryl Kelly of Ashtabula, OH, Renae Weathers, of Linthicum, MD, Darlene Coleman of Conneaut, OH and Tina Wofford of Conneaut, OH, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will remember Gloria as our spiritual advisor, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, auntie, and a best friend. We were blessed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the New Leaf United Methodist Church, 110 Gateway Ave., Conneaut. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held at the First Azusa AFCOG, 312 Jefferson St. (corner of Buffalo St.) Conneaut on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 4 to 7. Should friends desire memorials in memory of Gloria, may be given to the First Azusa AFCOG, 312 Jefferson St., Conneaut, Ohio, 44030.
