Obituary of Marjorie S. Kennedy

Marjorie S. Kennedy, 96, of Stateline Rd., Monroe Township died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was born on May 8, 1920 in Beaver Center, Pennsylvania the daughter of Lloyd and Ethel B. (nee Wilson) Brown. Marge married the love of her life, Sherman W. Kennedy on November 5, 1935 in Beaver Center. Marjorie retired from the Ashtabula County Nursing Home where she was a speech therapist. She was a member of the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, where she had been a deaconess. Marge was also a member of the Beecee's Women's Group in Beaver Center. Mrs. Kennedy was a very caring and loving person and always willing to lend a hand. Her family will remember her as the most loving person they knew and was always helping others. She was the best mother anyone could ask for and couldn't have picked a better one, if they tried. She is survived by her son, James S. (Kathleen) Kennedy of Monroe Twp.; sisters, Nancy Babb and Shirley (Ted) Loepp; grandchildren, Ursula Kennedy, Tasha (Pat) Stone and Jason Gehring; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kaylee Stone and Avrianna Gehring. Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Sherman W. Kennedy in 2002; and two brothers, Leo and Dale Brown. Funeral services will be held, Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Smith Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Conneaut. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until time of services at 1PM. Memorials in memory of Marjorie may be given to the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, 71 State Route 7 South, Pierpont, OH 44082.
