We just wanted to say how sorry we were not to be with everyone during this time of remembrance. Please know our hearts were with you all, and we too celebrate the life of Uncle Tom as we think back on how he affected our lives in so many wonderful ways.
We will miss his large and warm generous heart, and the world is a poorer place today, but richer for having known the generosity of his spirit.

So very sorry to the entire Smith Family. What love and devotion you all showed during this difficult time. It is by far the greatest gift you could have given is supporting and loving him as he was reborn to a new life. I am sure the angles met him with open arms and carried him into paradise where he is celebrating with his parents a life well lived. The next few days will be difficult with tears and laughter. My heart is breaking that this wonderful man had to leave us all for now. We will meet again. Janet you have my deepest sympathy along with the rest of your family. I didn't know Tom well, but first time meeting him at Naylor's I knew he was a kind and compassionate man. His deep set eyes told a lot about him.
