Peggy J. Hoffstetter-Smith, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Peggy was born on October 5, 1941 in Newton Falls the daughter of Leonard J. and Edna Mae (Roberts) Hoffstetter. She attended Grand Valley High School. Peggy was a very hard worker and through the years worked for Nickles Bakery, where she did door to door deliveries, as well as managing the Lyden Company in Orwell and Jefferson. She also owned and operated the Triple J Restaurant in Orwell for many years. Peggy also enjoyed driving for the Amish in her later years. She enjoyed doing leather work, riding her motorcycle and snowmobile when she was younger as well as fishing. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Kirk) Hutchens; step-daughter, Sandra (Roland) Wildman; daughter-in-law, Sammy Smith; brothers, Leonard Hoffstetter and Larry (Joyce) Hoffstetter; sisters, Margaret Perry, Carol Devault, Patricia (Jack) White, Edna Hoffstetter and Linda Hoffstetter; grandchildren, James Witchey, Jeffery , Jonathan, and Jared Peters, Robert and Ricky Smith, Denise (David) Foss and Michael Wildman and Karen Mislae; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Emmalyn, Ethan and Vincent. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Frederick Smith; sisters, Eleanor Addicott and Betty Shaffer; brothers, Bruce and Kenneth Hoffstetter; and a grandson Todd Wildman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12 NOON at the Thompson Smith Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut with Pastor Jan Walsh and Chaplain Kirk Hutchens, co-officiating. Burial will follow at Kelloggsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 12 NOON.
