Obituary of Philip C. Vesey

Kingsville- Philip C. Vesey, 86, of Kingsville passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born on June 28, 1931 in Cherry Valley, Ohio the son of Myron and Margaret (Dewey) Vesey. Philip married the love of his life, Florence I. Mead on June 19, 1955 in Austinburg, Ohio.
Mr. Vesey was a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years, and worked for Tajon, retiring in 1992. In addition to being a member of the National Guard, he was a very active member of the Gageville United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees.
Philip enjoyed woodworking, line dancing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Florence I. Vesey; daughters, Phyllis (Robert) Keller of Anthem, AZ and Beverly (Mark) Christy of Conneaut; son, Roger (Penya) Vesey of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Edna Mary (George) Piper of Andover, Jean Kondoff of Willmington and Margaret "Sweetie" Senskey of Ashtabula; brothers, Lloyd Vesey of Pompano, FL and Ralph (Joyce) Vesey of W. Monroe, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle) Morgan, Amy (James) Winter, Brian (Dayna) Tinker and Marisa (Michael) Pal; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred Brooks and Francie Foltz; and a brother, Richard Dewey.
Calling hours will be held, Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 12 NOON to 2:00PM at the Gageville United Methodist Church, 4063 State Route 193, Kingsville, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Terry Simpson, officiating, Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
