Obituary of Mary M. Ashcraft Carle
Howland- Mary M. Ashcraft Carle, 55, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Hospice of the Valley, surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 2, 1963 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Edward J. and Barbara E. (nee Peters) Ashcraft. Mary was a 1982 graduate of St. John High School in Ashtabula.
Mary was a loving, strong-willed and honest person. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed making memories with them. Mary loved laughing and being with her parents, children, grandchildren, siblings, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Her love and passion for her family was evident when they all gathered, and she especially enjoyed cooking and baking cookies for those gatherings. Mary also had a special bond with animals and always had a heart for rescues. Growing up she spent many hours with her horses and dogs and loved going for horseback rides with her sisters. Mary had an active childhood and that continued throughout her adult life, going camping, swimming and enjoying the outdoors. If you knew Mary, you knew her favorite holiday was Christmas, and could be found watching Christmas movies in July. She also loved the winter season and was always hoping for snow. You would also find her and her husband, Ted, searching for the next treasure at the many antique galleries they enjoyed visiting, while out traveling together.
