Kingsville- Vivian M. Hawn, 94, lifelong resident of Kingsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 25, 1925 in Kingsville the daughter of Jacob Franklin and Mary (Soles) Anderson. Vivian graduated from Kingsville High School Class of 1943. She was a member of the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, where she wed her husband Charles L. Hawn on July 15, 1945. Vivian, then became a member of the Kingsville 1st Baptist Church where she was active in many church groups. In her younger years she waitressed at the Pop Inn and Cozy Country Kitchen. Vivian retired from the Buckeye Local School District, where she was the cafeteria manager for 15 years. She was also a member of the Kingsville Fire Department Auxiliary, Kingsville Grange, Red Hat Society, TOPS and the Kingsville Gypsy Camping Group. In addition, Vivian served the Ashtabula County Election Board as a precinct worker for many years. She crocheted many afghans, including one for every grandchild at their graduation. Vivian loved to read, especially her bible and daily devotions. She was a wonderful cook, and her family will cherish her special recipes for years to come. Vivian is survived by her children, David Hawn, Keith (Janet) Hawn, Rita (James) Wasielewski, Rebecca (Mark) Phillips and Rhonda (Rudy, Jr.) Pryately; grandchildren, Charlie (Cherie) Hawn, Heather Lafferty, Stacie (Shawn) Brink, Katie Laugen, Sarah Cunningham, Bridget (Chris) Fields, Kyle Ann Cunningham, Michelle (Daric) Wise, Josh (Kristi) Phillips, Rudy (Mary) Pryately, III, Rachel and Rylie Pryately; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Charles L. Hawn on December 20, 1999; siblings, David Anderson in infancy, Virginia Meacham, Sid Anderson, Opal Lehman, Ruby Blank-Meacham; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Hawn and Jacob Robert Phillips; and her son-in-law, Roger Hyde. Calling hours will be held, Friday, November 8, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Kingsville 1st Baptist Church, 6003 State Route 193 (corner of Priest St.), where funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9 at 11:00AM, with Rev. David Hines, officiating. Burial will follow at LuLu Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Kingsville Fire Department or the Kingsville First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Bella Hospice Care Team and Staff at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for their loving care.
