Please share a memory of Coralyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
CONNEAUT- Coralyn Louise Turner-Hillyer, 16, our little Angel gained her heavenly wings on Friday, January 10, 2020. Cora was born in Ashtabula on October 14, 2003, the daughter of Stephanie Turner and Derek Hillyer. Cora was happy when listening to music, the various sounds and lights brought her much joy. She was all smiles while in the water. Cora loved going on family trips. Especially when she got to visit a different water park or go to the beach. Cora loved her family, including her pesky siblings, when they sang and read to her. Halloween was a special time for her and her family. She was always included with special family themed costumes, and a matching "ride." Cora is survived by her mother, Stephanie Jacobs; father, Derek Hillyer; siblings, Brendan Turner, Natalie Walker, Alexia Jacobs and Jasmine Hillyer; maternal grandparents, Debi and Joe Zappitelli; paternal grandparents, Carol Hillyer (Paul Hoover) and Rick Hillyer; and many other special family members. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Turner; and uncle, Kevin Creese. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 5PM-7PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. A private family funeral service will be observed. She will be buried at South Ridge Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be given to the family. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Cora's nurses and caregivers that helped care for her over the years.
