To My Dear Dietra, Linda, and Ila, It is with a Heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I’m writing this to you. I am very, very sorry with the passing of Tootsie. She was a beautiful, loving person that I and your Families will miss. I remember visiting your house in Conneaut like it was yesterday. She ALWAYS made you feel at home and the love she gave was overwhelming. Her and your Dad were both one of my favorite people in the world I always looked forward to visit. It was like seeing family or better. I know my mom loved Tootsie like a sister she never had and your Grandmother, Carmel. Both of them were beautiful, both inside and out. Although I haven’t seen all of you, you’re always on my mind EVERY time I go to Conneaut. There will always be an empty spot in my heart because of Tootsie’s passing. But their is a bigger place there because she was like an Aunt to me and That helps with Her passing. Again, My deepest sympathy to you all. Love you all like my Sisters, Joe DiDonato

Sending my deepest sympathy to all of you.
I didn’t know your mom well but I will always be thankful to
her for giving me one of my very best friends. Linda and I met in nursing school in 1982, we shared a lot of tears and frustrations that year. We became sisters, held each other up and studied our hearts out. When it came time for state boards, Ila opened her home to us ( and I didn’t even know Ila!) and we stayed there a couple days while we took our test in Columbus. Again another daughter who was molded by Mom. And Dee, you and Linda were SOLID daughters, spending all your time at the nursing home, leaving no time for yourselves. Your mom is at peace now. She’s in heaven and happy. And looking down at all of you and cherishing the blessings she had on earth....each of you.

Deitra, I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I hope you were able to be with her in her final moments. She was a great person and I will always remember her gentle nature. She and my mom (Irene Hazen) were great friends and stayed in touch over the years. My sincere sympathy during this difficult time.
