She married Richard "Dick" Nelson on April 4, 1964 at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Conneaut. Sandy lived her life to the fullest and did not let any moss grow under her feet. She enjoyed NASCAR and went to quite a few races. She was also a Cleveland sports fan, especially the Indians and the Browns. She always enjoyed a good card game or a game of chance.
