Kingsville- Lawrence W. Wires, 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born on November 1, 1950 in Conneaut the son of Seretha (Bennett) and Robert S. Wires, Sr. Larry attended Conneaut Area Schools. He served honorably in the United States Army, completing two tours to Germany and Vietnam.

He was employed with RMI, until its closing and would go on to cook at many restaurants and steak houses throughout Ohio and Florida.

Larry was a great cook and he enjoyed making wonderful meals and making pies for his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Wesley) Cleveland of Kingsville; son, John Richard Wires of North Kingsville; brother, Robert (Linda) Wires, Jr.; sister, Dianne (Terry) Scott of Bushnell, FL; granddaughters, Amber and Brittany Cleveland of Kingsville; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Duchess.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, private family services were observed.

Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be given to the Ashtabula Feed Our Vets, 433 Center Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
