Ashtabula Township- Carol Ann Scalise, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born on August 7, 1929 in East Conneaut the daughter of Carl A. and Leola G. (Watters) Harlacher.
A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsville, she was very active in her church where she was head of the nursery and junior church. She also served as a deacon on the church board, president of the senior group, member of the Christian education board, social committee, choir and was a substitute Sunday school teacher. Carol loved her church family dearly.
She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, knitting, needle work, working in her flower gardens and cherished the time with her grandchildren and she loved it dearly when her great-granddaughter, Ameila came to visit.
Carol is survived by her grandsons, Bryan (Elizabeth) Scalise and Jonathan Scalise; and her great-granddaughter, Amelia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Bernard V. “Bud” Scalise; sons, Thomas D. Scalise and Gary B. Scalise; her dear sisters, Joyce Salisbury and June Harlacher; a beloved great-granddaughter, Stella.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 12:00PM at the First Baptist Church of Kingsville, 6003 Route 193, Kingsville, where friends and family will be received from 11AM until time of services at 12NOON. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials in her memory may be given to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
