Gerald Lee Atkins, 56, of North Kingsville passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at UH- Conneaut Medical Center.

He was born March 31, 1965, in Conneaut the son of the late, Leslie and Judith (Osborne) Atkins. Gerry graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1983. He married the love of his life Michelle Farrell on November 2, 1984.

Gerry worked for many years as a bus driver for ACTS- Ashtabula County Transportation System. He also worked on the transportation team and as a funeral attendant for Ducro Funeral Services and Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home.

Gerry was a member of the Conneaut Moose Lodge #472. He enjoyed playing the drums and flying drones and model airplanes. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan and collector of model trains. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, where he was always the life of the party.

Gerry is survived by his loving wife of almost 37 years, Michelle; son, Andrew Atkins; sister, Pamela Bucci; father and mother-in-law, Al and Sheila Kaseman; sister-in-law, Denise Rogers; brother-in-law, David Farrell; niece, Stephanie Bucci; nephew, Cody Overly; great-niece, Riley Overly; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Corey Overly.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 5-7PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10AM at East Conneaut Cemetery.
