Conneaut- Marilyn Emus, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born on May 18, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia the daughter of Clark and Martha Grace Bennett. Marilyn graduated from Rantoul High School in Illinois. She met the love of her life, Ralph Emus, while her family was serving in the military. They married on March 28, 1965 in Rantoul, Illinois.
Marilyn was a member of the Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Fairview. She was devoted to her family and cherished them all dearly.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph Emus; children, Dawn Childs, Cliff (Connie) Emus, Rae (Mike) Bulmann, Paul Emus, Jamie (Crystal) Emus, and Seth (Megan) Emus; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shiva Ishaya.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Emus; daughter, Joy Heasley; and her nephew, Ron Emus.
Calling hours will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6PM-8PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 6015 W. Ridge Rd., Erie, PA 16506, where a calling hour will be held from 10:00AM until time of services at 11:00AM. Private burial will take place at South Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials in her memory may be given to the Walnut Creek Baptist Church.
