Lillian Ruth Bennett Obituary

Lillian Ruth Bennett, 98 of Conneaut passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 10, 2022.


She was born April 13, 1923, in Kingsville the daughter of the late George and Frances (Cooper) Kuhn. A lifelong area resident she married Jerome Bennett on March 14, 1942. Over the years Lillian hung wallpaper for many people and worked for some time at Fisher's Big Wheel, though her most important job in life was being a mother to her children.


Lillian was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a crafty lady and talented with canvas work. She enjoyed puzzles, word searches and watching the Game Show Network.


Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerome (Ruth) Bennett, Jack Bennett, Richard Bennett, Constance Gregory, David Bennett, Karen (John) Iorio, and Thomas (Michelle) Bennett; sisters, Mary Mitchell, Shirley Kreiling, and Judy (Robert) Lillie; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two on the way, and six great-great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, sister, Eva Gehring; brother, Leonard Kuhn; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Reichert; and her parents.


Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville
