Tucson, Arizona- Hanna O. Williams, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the home of her daughter, where she had resided the past several years. Hannah was born on January 7, 1926, in Greenville, Pennsylvania a daughter of Francis H. and Emma M. (Saylor) Stack. Growing up she was raised by her grandmother Margaret Saylor and aunt Kathryn Saylor. Hanna graduated from Greenville High School. Raising her family, she cherished the time spent being a Brownie leader and later a Girl Scout leader. She retired from the Ashtabula County Veteran’s Service Commission in 1986, after 27 years of service. Hanna also enjoyed her time working for the Courier and volunteered her time helping her family at Pape’s Restaurant, as well as at the Hometown News in the 1980’s. Hanna enjoyed wintering in Tucson for many years, before moving permanently in 2018, she had been a resident of Conneaut for 75 years. She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Parish, as well as the American Legion Cowle Post #151, Auxiliary and the Conneaut Moose Lodge. Hanna loved to garden, sew, crochet and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Hanna is survived by her children, Patrick (Michelle) Williams, Cheryl (Mike) Allshouse and Debi (Nick) Pape; grandchildren, Michael (Adriana) Allshouse, Nicole (Craig) Bryant; great-grandchildren, Eva, Ethan and Sofia, Caden, Brix and Adalee; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog BB. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Nicholas P. Williams in 2000; dear grandson, Stephen Williams in 2019; and her sisters, Helen Cunningham, Faye Mast, Barbara Powers and Janet Greer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 12:00PM at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 744 Mill St., with Rev. Fr. Philip Miller, celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. No calling hours will be observed. Memorials in her memory may be given to the American Cancer Society, PO BOX 22478, Oklahoma, Oklahoma 73123 or American Heart Association, PO BOX 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284-0692.
