Daniel E. Carroll, Sr., 72, of West Springfield, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born April 26, 1950, in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Cecho) Carroll. A lifelong area resident Dan worked as a diesel mechanic all over Erie County. Most recently before his retirement he worked at Zimmer's. Daniel married Sherry Salisbury on July 9, 1983. Together they shared almost 40 years of love and friendship. Daniel loved semi-trucks, he enjoyed everything about them. He liked to tinker around the house and in the garage. He spoiled his dogs rotten. But most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife Sherry; sons, Daniel (Sarah) Carroll and Patrick (Jess Hess) Carroll; sister, Peggy Carroll; cousin, Jamie Miranda; and his faithful K-companions, Lexi and Stella. Daniel is preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Carroll; and his parents. At his request no services will be held, and cremation will take place.
