Conneaut-Bertha Charlene Gerren, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. Charlene was born on August 10, 1948 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Elmer Leon and Dorothy (Mook) Gerren. She loved her mother dearly. She was her best friend and biggest fan. Over the years she worked in manufacturing including Levi Strauss, Conneaut Can Company, General Aluminum and CW Ohio. Charlene enjoyed spending time in nature with her friends Kathy & Steve Davis. They would love to fish, walk through the woods looking for berries, identifying different wildflowers and going for rides. She was also a member of the Triangle S snow mobile club. She enjoyed spending time with Tammy (Jeff) Meyers and her church family at East Conneaut Baptist Chapel. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dodie Wiser, Maxine Ingram, Rose E Albert and brothers Richard, Charles and Alfred Gerren. She is survived by her sister Cherie (Eugene) Wilcox and Robert (Bobbie) Gerren all of Florida. A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00am at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Terry Kern, officiating. Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut is entrusted with arrangements.
