Conneaut- Doris Mae Myers, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Villa at the Lake, with her family at her side. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of the late Frank J. and Minerva (Arvin) Terstage. She was a longtime dedicated member of the New Leaf United Methodist Church and attended Lakeview United Methodist Church, where she was active with the newsletter and choir. Doris also played a vital role in organizing the Mother, Father and Chicken and Biscuit dinners at Lakeview. Her church family fondly recall her as Miss Glitter, as she always dressed up for the church functions. Doris was an avid reader of the Bible and found peace in reading the passages. In her free time, she spent many hours on her computer chatting with others all over the world. Doris also loved to do crafts, especially plastic canvas and donated many of her items to the church auction. She is survived by her children, Sally (Paul) Nelson, Rae Lee (Allan) Stuntz, Duane (Gail) Myers and Roy W. (Sue) Myers; grandchildren, Lynn Bennett, Douglas (Jen) Myers, Jeffrey (Laura) Myers, Wendy (Tim) Powell, Carrie Getson, April (Josh) Russell, Jerry (Samantha) Stuntz, and Jessica Smerdell; and many great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ralph D. Myers in 2007; son-in-law, Wayne Getson; and her stepfather, William Terstage. Private family services will be observed in accordance with her wishes. The family suggests memorials in her memory to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
