Kingsville- Stephen G. Huey, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.

He was born on May 22, 1971 the son of Ronald Huey and Carol (Reed) Huey. Stephen graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1989, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. In addition, he attended A-Tech, where he excelled in computers.

Over the years Stephen worked for Conley’s, until it became ACE Hardware. After ACE Hardware closed he enjoyed working at Family Toy Warehouse in the mall and spent six years at GMR Technology until he was no longer able to work.

Stephen was very knowledgeable, retaining most information that he read or heard; he could play along with the best Jeopardy contestants. He enjoyed watching wrestling and could recite many movies by memory. Stephen also enjoyed reading comic books and watching Fox News, keeping up on national and world news. He found solace in watching and feeding the birds at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Huey; siblings, Rodney Huey and Stephanie Taggart; and his grandparents, Howard and Lounetta (Stevens) Reed and Gilbert and Elizabeth (Miller) Huey.

Stephen is survived by his siblings, Jeffrey Huey, Cheryl Huey, Patricia (Rick) Rice, and Natalie (Joseph) Cawley; aunts, Norita Evans, Elinor Mihic and his dear aunt Janice Yambor, whom he especially cherished; he was a proud uncle to 11 nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly; many great-nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends that will cherish his memories.

A graveside service will be held at Lulu Falls Cemetery on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be given to the family.
