Ashtabula- Max W. Seifert, 78, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 with his family by his side.
He was born to Daniel H. and Mertice (Rickman) Seifert on January 5, 1937 in Three Oaks, Michigan at the family farm. On April 29, 1961, Max married the love of his life, Sandra A. Magro. During their retirement years, they enjoyed motorcycling together across the country visiting family and friends.
Max is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Sandra of 54 years; their children, Mark (Sharon) Seiftert and Joyce (Roger) Litwiler of Conneaut and Ruth (Paul) Carter of Marritta, CA; grandchildren, Roger (Lorrie) Litwiler and Amber (Steve) Krause of Conneaut, Kristin Litwiler of London, England, and Melissa (Eric) Lazerow of Hinesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Kaylah, Lawren and Little Buddy Litwiler, Spencer and Slater Krause and Carson and Jaxson Lazerow; sisters, Mildred Seifert, Mary Bross, Carol Gutschow and Betty Lynn Ward.
Mr. Seifert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene, Jack, Larry; and a sister, Joyce.
At the request of Mr. Seifert, no services will be held. A private family burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Peirpont at later date.
The Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 345 Main St. Conneaut, is honored to serve the family.
