Obituary of Timothy P. Bihlajama

CLEVELAND- Timothy P. Bihlajama, 56, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Tim was born February 10, 1958, in Conneaut, the son of the late Eugene and Rowena (Snyder) Bihlajama, and had remained a lifelong area resident. He was a 1976 graduate of Conneaut High School. He married his wife Karen Hayes on October 21, 1985. Tim took great pride in his work; he enjoyed his job at CSP in Conneaut. He liked what he did there and the many friends he made over the 38 years he dedicated to the company. Tim was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan, continuing to support them even in the many off years they have had. A man of many hobbies, he enjoyed reading, fishing, collecting coins, and playing baseball, but most of all he enjoyed the time he got to spend with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; son, Timothy Bihlajama of Conneaut; daughter, Kassandra Lewis of Conneaut; brothers, Eugene M. (Cindy) Bihlajama, and Edward N. (Pam) Bihlajama both of Conneaut, and Richard Bihlajama of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Alexis, Mercedes, and Destiny Stewart, and Ava Helmbright; as well many nieces, nephews, and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved dog Roxie. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the THOMPSON-SMITH-NESBITT FUENRAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd, Ashtabula, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
