Conneaut- Rose M. Ensell, 77, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.

She was born on December 31, 1944 in Bedford, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (nee: Letak) Kubichek. Rose graduated from Kingsville High School, Class of 1962. She was a longtime member of the Federated Church, and in recent years was a member of the Conneaut Church of Christ. Rose was a teller with Conneaut Savings Bank for 20 years, and for many years was the bookkeeper at South Ridge Baptist Church. She also was a faithful poll worker and worked many elections over the years.

She loved spending time in her gardens at home and grew the most beautiful roses. Rose was also an avid reader and journal writer. She cherished the time spent with her grandsons and enjoyed overnight visits with them. Rose shared her grandson's interests in the Cleveland sports scene and kept up to date on the players of the Cavaliers, Indians and Browns. She was also proud that her grandson, James, chose to serve in the United States Marine Corps.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (James) Kulko; grandsons, James (Chloe) Kulko and Jordan Kulko; and her siblings, Anthony (Carolyn) Kubichek and Josephine (Ken) Misener; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, John A. Ensell, whom she married on January 19, 1968; and dear uncle, James Letak.

A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00PM at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Pastor Tim Kraus, officiating. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM, until time of services.
