My first memories of Ray go back to when he and Mary Lou were married. She and I had gone to school together since grade school. I felt so bad for him when she passed. They had some rough times during her illness and for a while we thought she had won the battle, only to had it come back again. Both of them were on the quiet side and very devoted to their girls and to the church.
I was happy for him when he and Gail met and then married. He always had a smile on his face when I'd run into them, so I could easily see that was a good match for both of them. We usually saw each other at a restaurant, so I guess we all liked to eat out a lot. Ha! When I think of Ray I will always remember him with a big smile on his face. That's a great way to be remembered! I'm sure Jesus welcomed him home.
