Marian Louise Cheney, 87, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Villa at the Lake.
She was born December 15, 1935 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George P. Stevens and Ruth A. Smith. Marian graduated from Conneaut High School Class of 1953. She married the love of her life Jack Cheney on May 7, 1955.
Marian will forever be remembered for her devotion to and unconditional love for her three children and husband of 61 years.
Marian's work history spanned five decades which included her employment at Broad St Dry-cleaners and Mooney's Bakery. Customers looked forward to seeing her. She had an exceptional gift to connect with others, always caring and sharing a kind word and smile.
Marian's favorite pastimes included baking, reading, taking walks and weekend camping trips with her family.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2016; and her parents.
She is survived by her Children, Debby Cheney of Conneaut, Drew (Cissy) Cheney of Redding, CA and Tammy (Levi) Cheney-Toney of Berkeley Hills, CA and her grandchildren, Ezra Quinn Toney, Joshua Cheney, Joseph Cheney and Drew Cheney Jr.
Marian will be laid to rest with her husband Jack at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville. A date and time for the services will be announced at a later date.
