I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Linda. She was a remarkable woman who always remembered to share that smile of hers with all who came to visit Markko's. She will truly be missed and my deepest sympathies to her family, Arnie, and all who knew her!

We are very sad to hear of the loss of Linda. She was a great woman, and we always enjoyed her input on wines at the winery, pruning in the vineyard, and other knowledgeable bits of information she would share at conferences, etc.

I always enjoyed visiting with Linda and you, too, Chris, at Kmart and whenever we would see you out to eat, which seemed like it was alot, because we like to eat out, too. My husband and I only met Linda once on our an annual wine trip with our friends a year ago or so. We truly enjoyed talking with her as she shared her knowledge of wines and wine growing. We talked of her often as we sipped our wine together and reminisced. We found her to be a most interesting and charming lady. I'm sure she will be missed by all of you. It's been some time since I lived in the area (15 yrs), but last August I had to return for a funeral. I stopped into Markko and bought a few Chardonnay's and asked Linda to sign each bottle, which she did. I still have a couple left and will remember her as we open. Markko wines were both the terrior as well as the experience in buying. Linda and Arnie made that combination unique. Will miss her. Dan Desser

Linda will be, most certainly, missed. My friends and I had the opportunity to visit with Linda at the winery in the September 2014. She, along with two great and gentle doggies, greeted us with open arms. We enjoyed wine tasting and learning about her world of wines that she obviously loved so much. She inspired us to enjoy our wine tasting, buy some wine, and to enjoy life. Wanted you to know that even though we only met Linda once, she left an everlasting impression. We can only visit Markko once a year, but we were always so welcomed by Linda. Within two tastes of a wine, Linda could assess which variety and year would probably be the best choice for us. One year, we happened to arrive about two weeks after a new litter of puppies were born and she made sure to walk us around the property until we found Mom and the little ones. So fun!
