Michael D. McCroskey, 65, of Ashtabula passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital.

He was born September 13, 1957, in Ashtabula, the son of the late Harold and Bessie (Holbrook) McCroskey. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1975. While in high school he also attended the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School where he studied to be a machinist.

Mike married the love of his life Linda (Summers)Colucci on December 8, 1979. He began his working career as a machinist at GE and was later laid off. He went to work for many years as a mechanic at K-Mart before returning to GE, where he completed his working career as a Safety Coordinator, where he also served as the union rep for many years.

Mike was involved with Gageville Methodist Church. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and was everyone's "Go TO" whether it was for help with a computer issue, directions somewhere, car repairs, or fixing things. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage.

He was also a volunteer fireman and EMT in Sheffield for many years. Mike loved riding his Harley and people watching. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda; children, Lisa McCroskey, Erin (Andy) Hays, and Jeff (Melissa) Colucci; sisters, Lynda (David) Beeman, and Sandy McCroskey; and his special angels, Isaiah Williams, Lilly, Lenox, Jonas, and Nate Hays, and Madison and Lexie Colucci.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lori McCroskey; brother, Gregory McCroskey; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11AM at the Gageville Methodist Church, 4063 State Route 193, Kingsville, Ohio 44048. Calling hours will be from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Burial will follow in Gageville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Gageville Methodist Church.
