Donna Jean Cleveland, age 83 of Kingsville, Ohio passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Duane on April 13, 2024. They are now experiencing the joy of being together again. She was born June 28,1940 in Cleveland Ohio, daughter of the late Donald and Rosella (Madygesi) Carle. The family moved to Kalamazoo Michigan until Donna was in 6th grade. They moved back to Kingsville, where she attended Kingsville School and there, she met the love of her life. Not long after graduation from high school she married Duane Cleveland on June 20, 1959, where they celebrated 49 years together. They began their life in Kingsville where they raised their four sons. Donna was a devoted wife and mother. She retired from Ash Craft Industries where she worked as a specialist overseeing and training the members of her group to work independently on various jobs that would come in to be finished. She was also an active member of Kingsville First Baptist Church where she served faithfully on various board and committees. She was recognized as mother of the year in 2008. Her favorite committee to serve on was the Hospitality Committee where she loved to use her cooking and decorating talents to put on many dinners. Culminating with the church’s 200th anniversary celebration where she organized a Victorian tea. Donna and Duane served on the Kingsville Heritage Committee and were instrumental in planning the Kingsville Bi-Centennial. Donna and Duane were also part of the founding members of the Kingsville Gypsies Campers Club. Donna enjoyed getting out and meeting people. She always had a hug for everyone. She also loved to cook, sew, and refinish furniture. Later she developed a love for painting pictures with her sister. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games, especially farkel and cards. Donna was proceeded in death by her husband Duane on February 4, 2008: and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Lorri) Cleveland, Jeffrey Cleveland, Douglas Cleveland and Wesley (Michelle) Cleveland; siblings, Carol Keiper and Roger (Paula) Carle; grandchildren, Kendra (David) Hunt, T.J. Cleveland, Conner Cleveland, Cooper (Kaycee) Cleveland, Amber (Tyler) Welton, Brittany Cleveland, Emma Cleveland, and Raymond Cleveland; and great-grandchildren Aiden, Ashton, Wrenley, and Lynndie. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10AM at the Kingsville First Baptist Church, 6003 State Route 193, Kingsville, Ohio 44048. A burial will follow at Lulu Falls Cemetery in Kingsville. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6 – 8PM at the Kingsville First Baptist Church. Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers can be donated to David Simpson Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th Street, Cleveland, OH 44119.
