Ashtabula- Mary Anne Henton, 77, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 from implications of a stroke.

She was born on September 30, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of Ida (Rush) Wofford and the late Wilbert W. Wofford, Sr. She resided most of her life in Ashtabula County and has lived in Ashtabula since 1965. Mary Anne was a devoted and faithful member of Hiawatha Church of God in Christ and the Apostolic Church of God in Christ.

She worked for over 20 years at ACMC where she was the Central Supply Supervisor and oversaw the medical equipment sterilization operations.

Mary Anne enjoyed crocheting, was crafty and had a wonderful collection of Owls. She was easy-going, loved a good conversation, which led to a home that was always bustling and she loved to cook for her family and others.

She is survived by her mother, Ida Wofford; children, William, Douglas, Nana Marie, and Terrance; siblings, Darlene Coleman, Renae Weathers, Marie Wofford, Tina (Kareem) Singleton, Cheryl Kelly, Michael Wofford, Wilbert (Ivory) Wofford, Jr., and Calvin Wofford; grandchildren, Devea, Douglas, Kneocia, William, Tyler, Mario, Shaun, Tarynne; great-grandchildren, Ziasia, Jayden, Landon, Braylon, Nayeli, Bryson, Prince, Skylar and Kyro; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Gordon Hunt; and her brother John Wofford and brother and sister-in-law Morris and Nancy Wofford.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00AM Hiawatha Church of God in Christ, 3417 Hiawatha Ave., Ashtabula, with Pastor Steve Sargent, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 5PM-7PM at Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut and on Wednesday at the church from 10AM until the time of services at 11:00AM.
