Conneaut- Patrick "Fat Ryde" Martin, 59, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. He was born on May 29, 1964 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of George and Bernice (Bailey) Martin. Pat worked for several companies in Erie over the years including RCR Manufacturing, before its closing, as well as helping with Keystone Fencing. He enjoyed driving his cutlass, which earned him his nick name "Fat Ryde." Pat also loved to ride his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, ice fishing, camping, and hunting. Pat also enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts. It was his grandchildren, that he loved more than anything. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cheryl A. (Camarata) Martin, whom he married on November 16, 1991; children, Alyssa (DJ) Cartney and Aric (Bella Widawati) Camarata; grandchildren, Quinn and Delaney, Zaid, Sumayah, Omar, Amirah, Hannah, Aasiyah, Jannah, Mikael; and his siblings, Robert (Cathy) Martin, Beth (Mark) Stephenson, Maryanne (Eddie) Dibacco and Paul (Phyllis) Martin. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Pat's life will be announced by the family. Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, Ohio is assisting the family.
