Obituary of Phyllis V. Sturtevant

Conneaut- Phyllis V. Sturtevant, 83, of Conneaut, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 3, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born on April 20, 1932 in Erie, Pennsylvania the daughter of Everett and Virginia (Elliott) Henson. She graduated from Academy High School in __YEAR__. Phyllis married the love of her life, Richard M. Sturtevant on July 8, 1952 in Erie, PA. Mrs. Sturtevant was a Conneaut resident for more then 30 years. She was past UMW president at 1st United Methodist Church and was on the East Ohio District of Women. Phyllis enjoyed mission work and serving her God and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ann Sturtevant of Conneaut, Judy (Edwin) Fritzsche of Columbus and Heidi Sturtevant of Conneaut; sons, Ronald (Linda) of W. Springfield, PA, Bryan (Joan) of Glen Allen, VA and Calvin (Karen) of Conneaut; grandchildren, Scott, Adam(Courtney) and Isaac Fritzsche, Jennifer (Andrew) Marcum, Amanda (Kevin) Tyson, Abbey, Matthew (Kayci), Nathan and Alyssa Sturtevant; great-grandchildren, Elandra, Hunter, Keira, Thaddeus and Alex Fritzsche and Kaylee Tyson; and a sister, Linda Thomas of McKean, PA. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Richard M. Sturtevant in 2010; and a brother-in-law, Donald Thomas. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at the New Leaf United Methodist Church, corner of Madison and Buffalo Sts., Conneaut, with Pastor Jan Walsh, officiating. Burial will follow at City Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church. The Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 345 Main St. Conneaut, is honored to serve the family.
