Ethel M. Berridge, 91, of Locust Dr., Conneaut, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 after a short illness. She was born November 30, 1921 to Alpha and Anna (Kellogg) Mast. Ethel graduated from Conneaut High School and worked in the Brown Memorial Hospital cafeteria and retired after 25 years of service. Mrs. Berridge was a member of South Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening was she was able. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Judy Berridge of Conneaut; sister, Arlene Mononen of Conneaut; brother, Eugene (Joyce) Mast of Conneaut; close family friends, Lydia and Maria Miller of Conneaut; several nieces and nephews; her adopted grandchildren, Nikki, David and Matthew; and her dog "Maggie." She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry E. in 1994; a son in infancy; brothers, Lloyd, Howard, Duane, Glen and Richard Mast; and sisters, Lilah Terrill, Dovonna Terrill and Gladys Crosby. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St., with Rev. Dr. Roger Hogle, officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services. Should friends desire memorials in memory of Ethel may be given to the Ashtabula APL, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
