Lillian Hensler, 92, formerly of Poore Rd., North Kingsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Villa at the Lake. Lillian was born on November 30, 1921 to George Dudley and Anna Barbara (Wertenbach) Haslop in Irwin, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Hensler was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Mother of Twins Club. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Lillian enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and bragging about her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Edward J. (Kathryn) Hensler, SMSGT George D. (Nancy) Hensler, Ret., Steven R. (Bonnie) Hensler and Ruth L. (Mike Gaede) Williams; grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Scott Hensler, David Warren Hensler, Rebeca Jean Hensler, and Melanie Sno Williams-Byers; and great-grandchildren, Titus, Lily, Duncan and Ava Hensler. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Hensler in 1986; parents; and her siblings, Ruth Boch, Robert Haslop, Dorothy Ferrari, Helen Vinton, Gladys Boch, Hope Hursh, and Margery Orr. Private funeral services will be held at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, where Rev. Franklin J. Gore, of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, will officiate the funeral. Mrs. Hensler will be buried beside her husband at Glenwood Cemetery.
