Rev. David T. Bailey, 60, of Hooppole passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Emergency Room. David was born December 12, 1954 in Youngstown, OH the son of Thomas M. and Martha V. (Adams) Bailey, Jr. He was a 1972 graduate of Boardman High School; a 1976 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education; and went on to Myerstown Theological Seminary for a master's degree in Divinity in 1979. David served his lord and savior for 38 years with the Evangelical Congregational Church. He served multiple churches in Pennsylvania and most recently Calvary EC Church in Hooppole, IL. He had also served within the Quad City Walk to Emmaus Community. David loved volunteering with local theater organizations as he yearned to make himself as well as others laugh. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and overseeing church camp at Rock River bible Camp and Camp Echo. David joined Wanda M. Forney in holy matrimony on November 26, 1977 for 25 years. Together they raised three children: Bryn (FL), Bryan (PA), and Brianne (PA) and 2 grandchildren until she passed away on May 20, 2003. David also shared his heart with Sandy Caton-Glass-Bailey on May 19, 2012 and gained 6 additional children: Bill (MA), Rob (TX) Cyndy (IL), Bryan (IL), Laurie (IL), and Valerie (IL) and 12grandchildren who all survive him. David is also survived by his sister: Barbara E. (Bailey) Nesbitt of Conneaut, OH David is preceded in death by a twin sister: Diana Sue Bailey (1954) and a daughter; Martha Grace Bailey (1980). In addition to funeral services that were held in Moline, Illinois, Funeral services will be held, Monday, February 2, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the David's Community Bible Church, 1072 State Route 25, Millersburg, PA, with Bishop Bruce Hill, of the Evangelical Congregational Church, officiating. David will be laid to rest beside his first wife at the Reigel Cemetery in Millersburg. Family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 10:30 A.m.
